Critical Thinking Consortium
The Critical Thinking Consortium (TC2) believes in supporting the infusion of critical thinking across all subject areas from the primary grades to graduate school. Working with a common conception of critical thinking, the three major functions are to:
- coordinate and act as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of information and the utilization of services and resources;
- sponsor and facilitate programs and projects to enhance educators’ understanding and abilities;
- raise and generate funds to support the Consortium’s efforts and those of its individual members.
The Consortium’s activities include:
- curriculum development: develop and promote learning and assessment resources and other educational support materials for students and educators;
- networking: activate and sustain individual and institutional connections at local, provincial, national and international levels;
- professional development: foster and initiate varied professional growth opportunities for teachers and teacher leaders;
- research: conduct and disseminate the findings of studies of a theoretical and applied nature.
