The Cultural Resource Management Program at the University of Victoria is pleased to offer:

Volunteer Management for Cultural Organizations

Volunteer programs are shifting to keep pace with changing demographics, increased organizational needs during a time of sustained economic scarcity, and new expectations from volunteers and communities of practice. This course will help you enhance your skills and competencies to recruit, manage, and retain volunteers in museum and cultural heritage settings.

 Instructor: As Executive Director of Volunteer Victoria since 2011, Lisa Mort-Putland has worked with staff, member agencies, funders, donors, and key stakeholder groups to manage and develop relationships between volunteers and organizations. She previously worked as Development Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria and as Regional Manager for the Land Conservancy of B.C. In addition to these positions, Lisa has also served as Cabinet Member for the United Way of Greater Victoria, and currently sits on the Board at Point Ellice House Preservation Society and the City of Victoria Heritage Advisory Committee.

 Registration Options: Non-credit and credit registration available. Please note that credit participants must be admissable to UVic.

 Fee:  $271.97 CAD.
