• To liaise with government regarding curriculum development
• To promote networking for idea and strategy exchanges
• To create professionalism, innovation and collegial sharing
• To provide information of ongoing change and practical application of strategies through newsletters and a quarterly journal “Perspectives”
• To recognize excellence through grants and awards
• To organize an annual convention
