The museological complex of Musées de la civilisation in Québec City is pleased to announce the forthcoming two-day symposium Musées, création, spectacle, on October 9-10, 2014, as part of the 27th Entretiens Jacques-Cartier.

This international meeting will examine the role and place of performing arts in the museum, including best curatorial practices with regard to intangible cultural heritage, performance and memory.

National and international guest speakers from the university, museum and artistic sectors will include renowned researchers and practitioners such as RUTH B. PHILLIPS (Carleton University), MARC-OLIVIER GONSETH (Museum of Ethnography of Neuchâtel), BERNADETTE LYNCH(University College London), STEVE BLANCHET (Ex Machina, Québec), MARC BOIVIN (Fondation J.-P. Perreault), ANNE BÉNICHOU (UQAM), and many more.
