Canadian Historical Association
The Canadian Historical Association is an internationally recognized, bilingual association that was founded in 1922. It is the largest association of its kind in Canada. This organization is unique for its strong commitment to those working in the field of Canadian history, while being inclusive of historians within Canada who are focused on non-Canadian geographical areas. The CHA aims to bring together those in Canada who write, teach, and interpret history; to encourage intellectual exchange; and to promote the best public policies for historical work. We are committed to advocating on behalf of historians within Canada and to providing a community in which scholarship on a broad range of topics can be discussed and in which collective interests can be explored.
