Alberta History Group Fall Gathering, Nov 2

Event Date(s):
2 November 2012
City:
Edmonton
Country:
Canada

Every year the Alberta History Group organizes a Fall gathering in Edmonton. It is an informal meeting (a potluck dinner) where we discuss a colleague’s work-in-progress, and an opportunity to connect with Canadian historians around the province. This year the Alberta History Group is gathering in Edmonton on Friday, 2 November 2012 @ 5pm. Jonathan Clapperton, the Grant Notley Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, will present a work-in-progress titled: "(Un)Making a Hunter's Paradise: Rocky Mountains Park, the Stoney Nakoda, and Game Conservation in Alberta." A copy of his paper is attached to this email.

For further information, and to receive an advance copy of the paper, contact: dominique.clement@ualberta.ca

The AHG draws students, faculty and public historians from all across the province. Even if the topic is not within your field of expertise, we hope you’ll find it a valuable forum for connecting with colleagues, meeting new scholars and discussing research methods and new approaches to your research.
