Cet article entreprend d'étudier les conditions de formation d'un imaginaire historique, celui du « Québec moderne ». L'hypothèse gouvernant notre recherche consiste à dire qu'il existe une confusion entre l'histoire du Québec moderne comme espace/temps empirique d'une collectivité, et l'histoire de la technocratie en tant que communauté de communication qui, à travers un discours se fondant sur l'histoire, construit sa figure identitaire, son imaginaire et sa mémoire.

The objective of this paper is to study the formation of a historical imagination, that of "Modern Quebec." The standpoint of our analysis is to state that there is a confusion between the account of Modern Quebec as the empirical space/time of a collectivity, and the account of the technocracy as a community of communication which, through a discourse relying on history, creates its own identity, its own myth and its own memory.
