Abstract/Summary: 

An essay is presented examining ways to teach historical research skills to members of Generation Y. Introductory comments are given describing the common social and psychological traits found in students born between 1982 and 1991, highlighting an affinity for multi-tasking, technological aptitude, and certain attitudes regarding large-scale information processing. The author asserts that basic research skills and foundational concepts should be reinforced within the cohort.
