Abstract/Summary:

According to the authors, learning involves an open learning environment, one in which participants learn new things about themselves. Learning is not only intellectual but sensory, experiential and emotional as well. The article contains two sections that deal with the different motivations the public has when visiting a museum, such as extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, curiosity and interest, the flow experience, and the explanation of each topic and how it relates to museum learning.
