I’m a second-year PhD student in the Department of History at Simon Fraser University specializing in the fields of Aboriginal history, Canadian cultural and social history, and colonialism, gender, and sexuality. My SSHRC-funded research project explores the connections between cultural curation and nationalism at three Salish museums. This project is being supervised by Dr. Mary-Ellen Kelm. I also work as a teaching assistant for courses like pre- and post-Confederation Canada, and the history of sexuality, and sometimes as a research assistant for my supervisor. I hold a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from SFU (2008).
