Research for a Better Life: The Storytellers

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council has launched a new competition, Research for a Better Life: The Storytellers. The competition invites Canadian university students to submit a three-minute pitch in their choice of format -- text, video, etc. -- on SSHRC-funded research from their institution. Twenty-five finalists will be invited to attend a special communications workshop at the 2013 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Afterwards, they will deliver a "three-minute-thesis"-style talk at the Storytellers Showcase at Congress, competing for one of five slots to deliver a featured presentation at this year's World Social Science Forum in Montreal.
