Historical Studies in Education/Revue d’histoire de l’éducation moves to UBC
On January 1st, 2016, Historical Studies in Education/Revue d’histoire de l’éducation, the journal of the Canadian History of Education Association (CHEA), moved to the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Education under the co-editorial team of Penney Clark (Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy) and Mona Gleason (Department of Educational Studies). The managing editor is Katie Gemmell, PhD student in the Department of Curriculum Studies. Jason Ellis (Department of Educational Studies) continues to serve as the journal’s Book Review editor (English) and Jocelyne Murray will act as Book Review editor (French).
We are deeply grateful and indebted to past editor, Paul Axelrod, York University and editorial team, Jocelyne Murray, Daniel Ross and Angela Romano. Thanks to Paul’s indefatigable commitment to the highest quality of scholarship, we have inherited a vibrant and engaging publication that continues to showcase cutting edge work in the history of education in Canada and beyond.
We encourage everyone to 1) consider submitting your manuscript to Historical Studies in Education/Revue d’histoire de l’éducation and 2) visit the open access journal website at http://historicalstudiesineducation.ca/index.php/edu_hse-rhe/index.
