Bill to create new Canadian Museum of History passes

The Conservative government used closure Wednesday to push through a bill that changes the name and mandate of the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

Once the act passes the Senate and receives royal assent, the popular Gatineau museum will be reborn as the Canadian Museum of History, likely sometime in 2014.
