The Meeting Place: A New Zealand History Blog, created by historian Dr Vincent O'Malley, aims to provide a site for critical analysis and discussion of issues related to New Zealand history, in a form accessible to a wider readership. A particular focus for attention is providing historical context to the topical issues of the day, especially, but not exclusively, relating to the Treaty of Waitangi and Maori and Pakeha relations generally. Feedback is welcome. Review copies of relevant publications, notices of conferences and other forthcoming events are also invited.
