Invitation to Alberta Museums Association Conference 2012

The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) is offering registration discounts for its 2012 Conference, It's About Time, to all members of Provincial and Territorial Museums Associations in Canada. Members of these associations will receive the same pricing as Alberta Museums Association Members. To take advantage of this discount, members simply enter the acronym of their PTMA followed by their membership number in the "Membership Number" field.

This year's conference will be held in Red Deer, AB from September 20-22, 2012. It's About Time will focus on "tackling the tough topics" and the keynote speakers, conference sessions, and workshops will foster discussions on difficult issues. While these topics are often talked around in the museum sector, they must be addressed head-on to allow museums to maintain relevance in their communities and move forward with purpose. The 2012 AMA Conference will be a catalyst for original research that will bolster the knowledge and skills available to museums in all stages of organizational life as they confront sustainability challenges and start having those crucial conversations that keep our organizations nimble and vital.
