Congratulations to Dr. Carla Peck, Department of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta, who has been awarded a 2011 THEN/HiER Publication Prize for her article, “‘It’s not like [I’m] Chinese and Canadian: I am in between’: Ethnicity and students’ conceptions of historical significance,” published in Theory and Research in Social Education (2010). This article makes a significant contribution to understanding the teaching, learning and assessment of history in Canada.
