Heidi Tworek awarded fellowship at Transatlantic Academy, Washington, DC

Congratulations are in order for Heidi Tworek, Assistant Professor of History at UBC, who has just been awarded a fellowship at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington DC for the academic year 2016-17. The Transatlantic Academy, a partnership of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the ZEIT Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, and the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung, was established in 2007 to nurture multi-generational academic links and bridge the transatlantic academic and policy communities. By collaborating from a transatlantic and interdisciplinary perspective, Academy fellows use research, publications, and seminars to make policy-relevant contributions to debates facing the transatlantic community. In 2016-17, the six fellows will examine the theme The Future of the German-American Relationship. Fellows will both pursue their own individual research and work on collaborative research publications.
