Call for Writers: Online and Magazine Features Published through LCMSDS
Write for LCMSDS and Receive $100 Per Submission
The Laurier Centre for Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies (LCMSDS) is looking for writers interested in Canadian military history. We are seeking short articles between 1000 and 1200 words that explore a unique aspect related to the study of historical and contemporary conflict in the Canadian context. Contributors will receive an honorarium of $100 Cnd per article that is accepted for publication. Accepted articles will be published online as well as in print as part of an ongoing magazine feature.
All articles should be written in accessible, non-specialist language and be targeted towards a wide audience. LCMSDS will consider any and all submissions related to selected topics in military history, war and society, strategic studies, international relations, and military affairs. Submitted work should be informative in nature, and writers are encouraged to use their articles as an opportunity to promote and disseminate their ongoing research.
Graduate students and researchers with a keen interest in a particular subject are asked to contact LCMSDS Senior Research Associate and Website and Outreach Manager Matthew Wiseman (matthew.wiseman@canadianmilitaryhistory.ca), who will provide further details upon request.
