The Gregg Centre for the Study of War and Society is supporting the Saint John Theatre Company's commitment to educational outreach by developing an educational materials package to accompany their latest play, The War Bride. There will be a student performance of the play on October 21, and The Gregg Centre has facilitated a group of graduate researchers and Bachelor of Education students to provide educational materials that will extend the concepts and themes of the play in the classroom. Led by local history educator, UNB Ph.D. candidate, and longtime SJTC volunteer Maryanne Lewell, the group is developing materials based on primary documents and the Historical Thinking Concepts to connect with curriculum. The materials will be immediately available to classes attending the performance and will be made available online shortly thereafter.

For further information on The War Bride play, please see the most recent press release for details and contact information. For further information on the educational materials project, or on The Gregg Centre, please contact Katherine Ireland at katherine.ireland@unb.ca.
