Call for Writers for Undergraduate Essays

Words and Numbers is looking for Humanities Subject Matter Experts who are interested in contributing to a series of undergraduate textbooks for Gale, a division of Cengage Learning.

In a nutshell, SMEs are responsible for writing and revising essays on specific topics (relevant to their area of expertise). Each SME will also receive a byline and a bio in the final product and, of course, will be compensated for their work.

Disciplines in need of SMEs are:

• American Government
• American Literature
• British Literature
• Criminal Justice
• Economics
• Philosophy
• Psychology
• Sociology
• U.S. History
• Western Civilization
• World History

SMEs will work with a project management team, under the direction of a Series Editor. Work on most disciplines would start immediately and wrap up in a few a couple of months’ time. Graduate students are welcome to apply.
