Athabasca University Fall Semester Classes in Heritage Resources Management

Athabasca University is accepting registrations for several undergraduate and graduate courses in Heritage Resources Management, including fall semester classes which start in September.  All courses are offered in an online distance education format which allows students to complete university-level studies in heritage practice without traveling to campus or attending class on a specific schedule.

Fall semester graduate grouped study courses include:

HERM 501: Issues in Heritage Resources Management: As the introductory course to the Heritage Resources Management program, HERM 501 introduces key concepts, definitions and issues in the heritage field. It outlines the various stakeholders, agencies and institutions active in the field and offers an understanding of central issues.  Full details may be found on the syllabus here: http://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/herm/herm501.php

HERM 542: Issues in Planning Historic Places: Through detailed examination of planning options and approaches for historic places, students gain advanced skills in managing and structuring planning efforts for heritage buildings, landscapes and other resources. Further information is available here: http://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/herm/herm542.php

These graduate courses are open to any student holding a degree, including both program and visiting students.  Classes start September 2 and the registration deadline for these grouped study courses is August 1.
