Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Indigenous Education: Leadership and Policy
Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary
The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) 'tenure-track' or 'with tenure' appointment in Indigenous Education: Leadership and Policy.
The Werklund School's Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Education will advance research that addresses the current and future educational needs, challenges, and aspirations of Indigenous peoples of Canada. The successful applicant will have:
- A doctoral degree;
- An established record of research in Indigenous Education, with a focus on leadership and/or policy as applied to any disciplinary or interdisciplinary area of educational research;
- Experience creating and leading research projects and teams;
- An outstanding record of undergraduate and graduate teaching, including evidence of successful graduate student supervision;
- Significant experience applying Indigenous knowledge, pedagogies and methodologies to educational research and practice; and
- Connections to and experiences with First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit communities.
