UVic History Presents A Pro-D Day Event for Social Studies Teachers

Friday, February 21, 2014, 9:10-12:30 at the University of Victoria

PROGRAM

Welcome and Orientation  9:10-9:20

Workshops will be led by UVic History faculty members. The workshops will provide a brief discussion of new historical developments in the field, followed by the presentation of one or more projects on the topic for use in high school classrooms.  A list of relevant resources will also be provided.

“Indigenous History and Residential Schools in Canada”, Dr. Christine O’Bonsawin

“From Hot to Cold War, the United States and the World, 1940-1948”, Dr. Jason Colby
