Instructions for Uploading Videos and Podcasts
"How To" Upload Videos
The following is a list of steps you must take to showcase a video on the THEN/HiER website. Please follow these steps in order.
1. Sign up for a YouTube account (free of charge) by clicking on this link: (http://www.youtube.com/signup?next=/%3Fhl%3Den) and following the instructions.
If you have an existing YouTube account, please sign in.
2. To upload a video, follow the instructions on the YouTube site (copied below):
Click the yellow upload button in the upper-right-hand corner of any YouTube page.
Click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file you'd like to upload to our site. Select the file you want to upload.
Click the "Upload Video" button to start the uploading process.
As the video file is uploading, enter as much information about your video as possible in the relevant fields (including Title, Description, Tags, and Category). You're not required to provide specific information, but the more information you include, the easier it is for users to find your video!
Click the "Save changes" button to save the updates you've made to the video file.

Keep in mind it may take a little while for your file to display on YouTube.
3. Once your file is uploaded, copy the URL link displayed on the right-hand side of the screen beside your video. You will need this URL to display your video on the THEN/HiER website.
4. Once you have the URL, click "Create Content" in the Make Your Voice Heard section of the website. Click on "Video" and fill out the form. Areas that require information are marked with a red asterisk. Put the URL link in the box marked "Youtube URL."
5. If you choose to write a short description (optional), please DO NOT CUT AND PASTE INTO THIS BOX. Type your description manually using your keyboard.

"How To" Upload Podcasts
The following is a list of steps you must take to showcase a podcast on the THEN/HiER website. Please follow these steps in order.
1. Sign up for a PodOmatic account (free of charge) by clicking on this link (https://www.podomatic.com/path/signup) and following the instructions.
If you have an existing PodOmatic account, please log in.
2. Once you are logged into the PodOmatic site, click on the top menu button "My Podcast."
3. Directly underneath the top menu, you will see a link to "Post New Episode." Click here and follow the instructions (copied below).
Step 1: Select Media
Upload using our Flash uploader (Opens in a popup – or upload here)
- or - Upload media from your computer
- or - Select a file from your Media Library
- or - Record with your webcam or microphone
Step 2: Episode Info
Now, write a title and description for your episode:

Step 3: Review & Publish
Episode Title:
Media:
Picture:
Description:
Tags:
Click “Post Episode.”
4. Once your file is successfully uploaded, the podcast will display on your personal podcast page at the following link:
http://YOURUSERNAME.podomatic.com.
*replace YOURUSERNAME with the username you selected for your PodOmatic account.
You will need the URL link to your podcast episode to play it on the THEN/HiER website.
5. Once you have the URL link, click "Create Content" in the Make Your Voice Heard section of the website. Click on "Podcast" and fill out the form. Areas that require information are marked with a red asterisk. Put the URL link in the box marked "Link."
6. If you choose to write a short description (optional), please DO NOT CUT AND PASTE INTO THIS BOX. Type your description manually using your keyboard.
